Welcome to Podcast Free Earth. My name is Eric D’Entremont. I’m an English Trainer in Munich Germany, and I created this site to help people improve their English
while staying informed on international current events. On this site you will be able to read weekly world and entertainment news summaries while listening to an audio recording
of the text. Each text contains highlighted vocabulary words which are included in a weekly vocabulary list that contains definitions and in many cases example sentences. In
addition to building vocabulary, you can also practice your grammar with weekly grammar quizzes which are based on the texts. I hope to include a grammar tutorial on this site in
the future.
I’m not a journalist, and these are not news articles that you would find at AP, Reuters, or BBC. I write all the news summaries based on news articles from a variety of
international news sources. Each week, I try to include articles from every world region, and also provide links to articles from actual press sources. The entertainment news
however usually focuses on Hollywood or the popular music scene, I update the site every weekend, and the articles are based on events that have occurred between the previous
weekend and Friday morning.
I hope you enjoy the site. I will to continue to add new features, as time allows. If you have any suggestions or comments, please email me at eric@podcastfreeearth.com.
